Dow Chemical Saves Recycling Costs by GREENMAX Densifier

As one of the world's top 500, the Dow Chemical Company is a leader in specialty chemicals, providing products and solutions for markets including electronics, water, packaging, energy and coatings.

The XPS manufacturer in Saudi Arabia is a subsidiary of DOW and mainly produces XPS insulation boards. A large amount of XPS scraps will be produced during the production process. At the same time, customers will cut off the excess parts of the XPS boards and return them to the factory as waste.

Before using GREENMAX, all waste materials were pelletized directly on XPS insulation boards through the pelletizer at the DOW factory, and then the pellets were returned to the production line again. This is a good way to realize the recycling of XPS insulation boards, but over time, the accumulation of used XPS boards has caused problems such as low production capacity and high labor, transportation and electricity costs.

At an exhibition in 2013, DOW management learned that INTCO Recycling was an expert in foam recycling and had developed a GREENMAX foam recycling machine that could melt waste XPS boards into blocks. The machine can significantly improve the granulation capacity, save labor and electricity, and the waste XPS can be compressed to one-ninth of its original volume, making it easier to store and transport.

After a comprehensive inspection and market research on GREENMAX, the DOW factory decided to purchase our densifier GREENMAX M-C200. When the team received and used the machine, they were very satisfied with its performance and also very satisfied with the solution of GREENMAX densifier we provided.

With the development of the industry and the rise of recycling business, we believe that GREENMAX recycling will be recognized by more and more people.
