GREE Adopts GREENMAX EPS Compactor for Efficient EPS Packaging Recycling

GREE, a global leader in air conditioning, encompasses development, production, sales, and service under its three brands: GREE, TOSOT, and KINGHOME. The company offers a diverse range of products including household air conditioners, central air conditioning systems, air-source water heaters, mobile phones, appliances, and refrigerators.

At GREE's Hefei branch, substantial amounts of EPS foam waste are generated monthly—about 40 tons during the off-season and up to 60 tons during peak periods. Previously, GREE managed this waste by transporting it locally using trucks. This process required at least 10 trips per cycle, with each trip handling 200-300 tons of EPS, resulting in significant waste of time, manpower, and resources.

GREENMAX foam compactor A-C200, provided by INTCO RECYCLING, has streamlined the recycling process. The EPS recycling machine has simplified waste management for GREE, drastically reducing the operational demands.

Whereas previously 5-6 employees were needed for recycling, the GREENMAX foam compactor now requires only 2 operators. The need for 10 trucks has been replaced by just one, optimizing logistics. Furthermore, whereas the factory previously operated around the clock in three shifts, the new compactor has reduced staffing requirements to just 8-hour shifts, saving considerable manpower, financial resources, and materials.

EPS recycling has been transformed from a challenging task to a manageable process with the right equipment. The GREENMAX foam compactor offers an efficient and effective solution for handling EPS waste.
