SENHENG Uses Styrofoam Melting Technology for Styrofoam Package Recycling

SENHENG, the largest retailer in Malaysia, boasts a network of 110 stores and 10 logistics warehouses across the country. Smartphones, TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines are the top four best-selling products. Recently, SENHENG had embarked on a Styrofoam recycling project in Malaysia.

To dispose the significant Styrofoam waste generated from packaging large appliances like TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines, SENHENG's dedicated logistics team not only delivers and installs these appliances but also collects the Styrofoam packaging materials and returns them to the warehouse.

Previously, SENHENG collaborated with local recyclers to manage Styrofoam waste. However, inconsistent pick-up schedules led to substantial inventory problems. Despite being lightweight, Styrofoam occupies considerable space. If recyclers did not collect the waste within one to two weeks, it created major storage issues in the warehouse. To solve this challenge, SENHENG decided to manage the Styrofoam recycling process independently.

Recently, SENHENG partnered with GREENMAX, a company recognized for its eco-friendly approach to Styrofoam recycling and its comprehensive services across the recycling industry chain. GREENMAX not only supplies Styrofoam recycling equipment, such as Styrofoam melting machines, but also purchases compressed foam to manufacture environmentally friendly products like photo frames and architectural decorations.

This collaboration perfectly aligned with SENHENG's long-standing commitment to environmental protection and corporate social responsibility. Upon receiving GREENMAX Styrofoam recycling solution, SENHENG promptly acquired a Styrofoam melting machine in October. Following installation and training provided by GREENMAX engineers, the machine proved to be highly efficient. It only needs to operate once or twice a week to handle all of SENHENG Styrofoam waste, significantly saving warehouse space.
